Sofia partilha a sua ideia de que um dos seus mais importantes papéis enquanto mãe é precisamente educar os seus filhos para a arte de falhar. Há na falha, na aprendizagem que é criada através dela, um lugar cativo para o crescimento interior e para a experiência que nos conduz, eventualmente, ao lugar onde queremos chegar.
Sofia shares her idea that one of her most important roles as a mother is precisely to educate her children on the art of failure. There is in failure, in the learning that is created through it, a captive place for inner growth and for the experience that eventually leads us to where we want to reach.

Biografia Biography
Mãe da Gabriela e do Tiago, a viver a espera ansiosa de mais dois filhos que chegarão pela via da adopção. Sofia é original de Setúbal mas não pertence a lugar nenhum; "raízes é coisa de árvore", afirma.
Formada na área das ciências sociais, com uma pós-graduação e um mestrado na área da Educação, já fez de tudo na vida, desde trabalhar num porto como estivadora, a dar aulas numa universidade em Inglaterra. Nos dias que correm, escreve livros infantis e dedica uma grande parte do seu tempo livre a retribuir à vida o que de bom tem recebido dela.

Mother of Gabriela and Tiago, anxiously waiting for two more kids that are arriving through adoption. Sofia is original from Setúbal, but does not belong to anywhere; "roots are characteristic of trees", she says.
